Based on assorted comment made at the last FoGR competition, it would appear that most competitors would prefer to play scenarios rather than straight game.

As that is the case, we need some new/refreshed ones.

Obviously these will need to be tested to see how fair they are.
As such I would like those people who have "volunteered" to produce some to get them to me as soon as possible.

Thanks

Michael

I will certainly supply some scenarios as I have earlier undertaken. The key to success will be reasonable playtest by multiple playtesters followed by early dissemination of the refined scenarios, preferably before the date for tourney lists have to be lodged.

Some guidance would assist me at least:
1. Are we going to run with two different point designs, and if so what are they?
2. Are we going to run with fixed orders of march or permit rejigging?
3. Are we worried about the precise time period for the scenarios, or just about anything during the age covered by FoGR will do?

cheers
Mark

All good questions , personally I like scenarios that aren't tied to battles but

are tactical puzzles a la Charles Grant

Not fussed as long the battle is somewhere in period.

So from 1500 - 1699

Uneven points are OK but prefer 800 v 800 or 800 v 700

Where a scenario needs an adjustment in order of deployment it should be stated it should be stated in the scenario notes.

Example In the Lutzen scenario, the nominal defender must leave a general and at least three battle cavalry units off table at the start of the battle.

If the player has less than three battle cavalry units then all mounted must commence off table.

Cheers

Sorry can also do 700 v 700 to represent a smaller action.

I have a couple of battles from the late period that have worked well using other rules sets so should be ok as well.
