Turn 1 kicked off of the Pooley family (anyone can join in) DBA 3.0 campaign.

Three battles were fought, with each player winning one.

Damian (Italian Hill Tribes) def Chris (Gallic)
Chris (Camillan Roman) def Timur (Etruscan)
    Timur (Pyrrhic) def Damian (Samnite)

Campaign Map
The map is from the boardgame Italia. Cities are kept at least 3 areas from another city to spread sides out.

Thoughts on v3? I really need to get a game in of this "new" version.

How many harlequin elements can a Etruscan army field?

It's certainly quick to play. The fixed army size and therefore fog-like badness of losing an element first (only need 4 elements to lose, and the General counts as 2) can demoralise or make play risk adverse - although we were the opposite and Timur had some good recovery rolls to put some casualties on Chris' Romans. Timur's Pyrrhic army (Pike, Spear, Knight, Elephant) fairly easily blew through Samnite Auxillia in the open.

Next time I'm sure well put more attention into (troop friendly) terrain and not be too hasty to see how things die.

And an Etruscan army can field 3 Troupe Elements and the General can either by a Solitaire, Shadowseer or the Yncarne.

Damn, I missed this campaign. Sounds like it is fun and I will definitely be interested in the next one if you run a future campaign.

We're not done yet craig! Though close to it...

Turn 3 saw the Celts sack Pavia and the Etruscan's sack Rome. The Samnites managed to defend their town with a spirited defence inside the city!

Six teams are on 1 point each, only Rome is scoreless but it is Rome that has the shot of sacking the two towns left on the Italian mainland whilst Syracuse sails for Carthage and what will be an epic naval battle.

When the last town falls will there be a winner?

Turn 4 will only have 1 battle: Rome again attacking the Samnite capitol.
