Would prefer 25mm @ 650 points but can do 15mm too. Any takers?

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,

I'd be interested in a game on Sunday. More than happy to give 25mm a go, although would understand if you wanted to practice with someone who has actually played using 25mm before....

Mark.

No problem Mark, 25mm is similar to 15mm [i.e. same move distances and same sized terrain] except your element base width is 60mm rather than 40mm so that your troops have a 50% greater frontage. This makes it easier to watch your flanks and so infantry armies have more of a chance in 25mm.

I can supply an army for you. Seleucid or other Successor? Carthaginian? Early or Late Republican Roman? Vikings? Something Medieval? What's your preference and do you want to send me a list?

cheers
Mark

PS We will need to start after lunch as I have a morning game teed up.

That's great, afternoon is fine. I'll try Seleucids if that's OK. It's my next choice for a 15mm army after I've finished paining my Christmas bounty of Crusaders and Arabs from Legio Heroica. Will be good to 'try before I buy' with the Seleucids, although I hope I'm not too tempted to go for a 25mm army after trying one out Confused

I've got some 800 pt list ideas drawn up already for Seleucids, so will try and trim one down to 650pts and send it to you later today.

Thanks,

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Sorry, I thought I sent it to you by PM a couple of days ago. Not sure what happened there. Embarassed

I've only just managed to get onto the computer for the first time today, so hopefully I'm not too late for you to see this. I've got 2 lists now as I've just seen that Richard has sent through a suggestion for me via e-mail, so I'll make an amalgum here if you don't mind and work it out finally tomorrow before the game. I hope this is not too confusing or too much of a hassle at this late stage.

3 generals
4 Cav Companions
8 Cataphracts
32 Pike
6 Cretan Archers
4 Agyraspides Legionaries
6 Thorakitai
6 Thracians
2 Elephants
6 LF Archers
6 LF Slingers
4 LH Jav

Thanks, and see you tomorrow.

Cheers,

Mark.
