Thanks to the players of Solferino. There will be write up for the next Argus.

The next battle will be during the Franco-Prussian War's Republican phase and either be:

$ Loigny-Poupry: The Republic's failed attempt to try and relieve Paris.

This battle was fought as two actions as French Corps entered the field piecemeal. The first phase of the battle between the French and Bavarians will be the focus with 2-3 Divisions per side and a relatively open, snow covered farmland battlefield.

Hi

I missed this earlier.

I am interested in having another go, but not until after the junior footy season ends, as Sundays are a bit difficult at the moment.

Regards

There will be a battle every few months to build up the painted forces. My Prussians are quite limited at the moment, have more confederation models.

This winter day battle puts the Republican 16th Corps of regiments de marche and gardes mobiles against the Bavarians of v. Meckleberg holding the line until Prussian reinforcements arrive.

French
16th Corps
3 divisions
1 cavalry division

Bavarians
The Detachment
2 divisions
3 cavalry brigades
17th Prussian Division elements

I am painting up a few Bavarian stands to complete the Detachment that fought in battles south of Paris.
