What scale are majority of players doing out of interest?

I've been looking at the 7YW minis available from Eureka Miniatures...

The Eureka 7YW are 18mm and very nice. If you are doing Prussians, Austrians or Russians (or a fantasy list) they are the best out there.

Some of us already have armies in 15mm scale which is close enough to 18mm for them to be considered the same.

As we are basing to 60x30mm it doesn't really matter what scale you use.

A few of us also made the most of the recent Sash & Saber 50% off birthday sale and bought up big in SYW 25mm minis. Smile

At 50c for each infantry mini and about $1 (USD) for cavalry figures for quality 25mm minis you really can't go wrong!!! Shocked (exchange rate is very favourable ATM with the USA too). We bought about 200-300 minis each (at least 3 of us that I know of). More than enough minis to build quite a few imagi-nations regiments. These are gonna look awesome en-masse, and at those prices I feel less guilty about painting them in my resplendant imagi-nation colour scheme:

They're on the painting table after the 40mm AWI stuff, which we're still looking at fielding in a few months (So far I've painted my first two British line foot units).

OK I am late in!! Has anyone been following this series in Battlegames? Looks like a great little campaign system for imaginary wars.
Like Bish I have acquired a ton of lead from S&S 28s and 40s, but can also field reasonably sized 15/18 Eureka Prussians and Austrians Very Happy

OK , good chat at the meeting today .
My understanding of what was planned is ;

the campaign to be limited in scope to a year of action , similar to the rules

players will be drawn at random to form 2 Confederations

Armies will be based on 7 Years War , players will nominate which country they are shadowing .

Countries like no other (Bishtopia) , will be modelled from the German States list .

We will start play in Feb 08.
The nominal scale will be 18mm on 60 x 30 bases

The campaign rules will be taken from Might and Reason .

Does this look like what you heard ? Very Happy Anything I forgot ?

Excuse the thread necromancy Smile
(if this campaign is in anyway a live proposition, I'm interested- the NSGA one years ago was great fun.)

Sam Mustafa produced a national characteristsics pointing system which would allow units to adopt certain abilities/penalties.

He did this specifically for Imagi-nation campaigns...

this lived on the old MnR yahoo group but sam hasn't reposted it onn the new Honour site.. so here it is:

Fictional M&R

cheers,
Bob
