Monday Knights works for me, I work in Richmond. Do you have a preferred date/time? I finish work at 5.00 so after a bite to eat can be at Auburn around 5.30.

From the earlier posts it would appear that at least four people will be at the club with armies next Sunday. Between Tyler, Steve, myself and 'Carriage' we should be well placed to play a couple of games on the day- if folks are interested.

Yep. Two games ought to shake the cobwebs off nicely.

Mick, as for the game at the Monday Knights, the 10th is no good for me, as we'll be holding our annual DBA tournament that night. Any other Monday should be good. I usually get there around 6:00. What dates suit you?

Country NSW? Good luck to him finding wargamers outside a capital city. I hear they still burn us at the stake out there.

Mick, the 17th sounds good. My number is 0419136908, in case you need it on the day.

Thanks again, Tyler (and Steve and Guy). A great game explained with patience and humor.

Looks like I may be cranking up the white painting production line again. Shocked

The world needs more 1809 Austrians. It just does.

Absolutely. When you finish your corps Jared, I think we may actually approach the critical mass to re-fight that most excellent of Austrian Napoleonic military achievements - Aspern-Essling. Very Happy

And what a ball-tearer of a battle that one is!!
Maybe a small campaign would be in order.

You never know, one day we may even approach Wagram, though it would take a week to play it out!

I've always wanted to have a crack at that granary so, yep, count me in!

The re-basing has already begun. If I try not to think about it too much it might be a relatively pain-free enterprise. As such, I was wondering what base depths folks use for infantry and cavalry?

30mm.

I have figures to make four BGs of Landwehr (to use as Danish second rate troops in other systems). I have thought about using them as the beginning of an Austrian army but the size and white scares me!

All bases are 40mm wide.

Infantry, cavalry, medium artillery and horse artillery are all 30mm deep.
Commanders and heavy artillery are 40mm deep.

It is worth pointing out that there is no "light" artillery under FOGN. It sort of gets absorbed into medium.
And Heavy artillery is usually 12pdr, though I think 9pdr is heavy in the British lists.....go figure Confused
