Hey guys - I'm happy to bring other options as well. I was planning to borrow Roger's PE units for my neutral fleet, but I can also bring RoF, EoBS and RC forces for variety (although the Russians are the only fleet not being used by another player currently).

Hi Michael, no problem either way, just fancied trying the new ships out. Also figured it was the only fleet I own that isn't represented in the campaign already. Cheers Guy

I will be at the club on Sunday and will bring my new Deep Cut Studio ocean mat.

Hi Noah,

that was probably me that did most of the talking.

You are most welcome to borrow a fleet and join in a game.

Have a look through the rules and the various ORBATS, which are all free to download from the Spartan web site.

Pick a fleet / Nation that you like.

Painted fleets to borrow might be harder to come by but unpainted we can cover most fleets with the exceptions of Ottomans, Italians, East India Merchant Company.

We can do all Naval and most Aerial.

Hi Noah,
Good meeting you the other day. I can lend a painted fleet for:
Empire of the blazing sun
Kingdom of Britania
Federated States of America
Prussian Empire

... or as Roger said, we all have far too many unpainted fleets between us.

Cheers

Thanks for the offers guys.
Honestly, I don't know which to go for, but if there is such a thing as a new player friendly fleet then that'd be preferable, other than that, something with lots of light forces - frigates and destroyers etc - I think I'd enjoy.
Anyways, I'll be sure to be at the April meeting.

Hi Noah,
I suggest that the Federated States of America is probably the most beginner friendly as it has a small number of reasonably simple weapon systems and generally good weapon arcs that reduce the need for complex manouevring. Prussians are better for small units, but have slightly more complex systems and weapons.

Guy, I'll be honest but for purely aesthetic (and light forces) reasons I'll go for the Prussians if that's okay. Smile

Hi Noah,
Not up for paddle wheels then... Very happy to bring along the Prussians for you , but be warned that I often steal a couple for my Danish fleet, which might slightly limit your fleet choice. No problem with lots of smalls though - Armenius' are nasty little ships to fight against and Stolz pack quite a punch until they get thinned out.

Hello all,

the next game in the campaign series will be 1250 points.

For those taking part in the campaign, you will have a whole new fleet, standard restrictions, no Dreadnought class vessels and maximum of two large / massive squadrons.

This time the relief fleet is from an allied nation, not your chosen nation.

So pick a fleet from any nation in your Imperial Bond / Grand Coalition respective alliance to a max of 1250 points. No vessels from your primary nation unless they are listed as lend-lease in the respective ORBAT.
(Danes and Indian Raj come to mind)

For those not part of the campaign, if you care to play Op-For ?
1250 point Naval Core fleet of your choice. Or you can always play a game outside of the campaign if you wish ?

cheers
Roger

Jarred has the only Italian fleet amongst us, so if he is willing to lend it out ?

Who is planning to be there on Sunday ?

There is a tournament on both days this weekend but Michael and I will only be there on Sunday. Doors open early (9:30 am), so hopefully we will be there by 10:00 am.

cheers
Roger

Hi Roger,
I'll be there.

Jarred - can I borrow your Italians? ... can offer Danes, EoBS, FSA or KoB in exchange.

Cheers

Guy
