Since we do have some cash in the club bank account, the committee was wondering we should top up our already very good selection of club terrain. Let us know if there are any gaps in the collection.

I for one would vote for more STRAIGHT roads (not that I don't think the other types are okay too!) and more stand alone buildings.

My vote also for roads and village pieces. I would add some new rivers to any shopping list. Those rubber ones we have now have seen better days. Oh, and some more defined fields.

We probably need some ADLG terrain, especially small hills. All the Leagues hills are fairly large and ADLG terrain is smaller than most other rule sets.

As the ADLG table size is a bit smaller than 3'x4' and SAGA also uses 3'x4' for most scenarios perhaps we could get mats or thin (3mm mdf) boards for use with ADLG and SAGA.

The boards are a good idea ahead of the Nov comp .

As are the smaller hills . Should we just reshape and paint some of the big existing foam ones ?

Just remember its metric so ADLG boards are 80 x 120

The foam ones could do with a spruce up anyway.
As I said in my earlier post the ADLG board is a bit smaller than 3'x4'. Therefore there would be a bit of a margin around the edges on the ADLG side of the board.

I think, it has a sense. Great opinion.

While we're taking stock of terrain, can the plastic tubs (large and small) please be replaced?

Many are cracked and falling apart. Small size are good as it prevents people stacking a whole lot of stuff on top of delicate items.

The German in me also wants the new tubs to be labelled with the type of terrain and some effort made to put the terrain back in the right tub. It took me ages to get a river together last meet.

Any thought from the Committee in replacing the old tubs?

I take it you're referring to terrain tubs and not some of the more senior members...? Wink

The zombie apocalypse will be violently sudden all over the globe, best to keep the slower members of the herd evenly distributed amongst us.

The committee is looking at getting getting some more durable tubs for terrain.

As you may have noticed the new SAGA/ADLG tabletops are now available and the old broken plastic tubs have been replaced with new ones. The new tubs are shallower than the old ones so hopefully terrain will not be damaged by stacking too much on top of it now.
