Played a re-fight of Aspern Essling over the last couple of days using FOGN. Two players on the French side and three on the Austrian.
Ended up with heaps of fighting and plenty of casualties on both sides. Neither was in a position to finish off their opponent though - much like the actual battle. Below is a link to a photo taken a couple of hours before the end. French Cuirrassiers were running amok at this stage.
Thoroughly enjoyable game.

Very nice Geoff. I've played Aspern-Essling a couple of times in different rules, and it's always a good fun bash. Very nice looking table too!

Was a fantastic game. FOGN is without peer in my opinion when it comes to historical re-fights. Been gaming for close on 40 years and would have to say the last couple of days have been as good as any.

Yeah, but was that because the rules are great, or because I was there and I'm great?

Fair call mate Smile
Think the whole weekend was just a blast! Watching Waterloo on Saturday night after perhaps a beer too many was the icing on the cake!

Nice game Geoff! Sorry I couldn't be there. Table looks amazing.
