Do my best to explain this.

So we have three light foot in a group facing South (towards bottom of page). The knight is facing West and declares a charge.

LFLFLF <KN

The Light Foot elects to evade as a group, reorientates to the West and roles evade distance.

They way we read the rules, due to the turn, the Light Foot actually gains a UD and a half as the reorinetate is free. This allowed the Light Foot to get away. If it hadn't been a group move the Knight would have caught the Light Foot.

I realise this is fairly situational, but if you flank charge a group of 6 Light Foot when they turn to evade they gain 3UD and then evade.

Did we get this right?

No you didn't. There is a section in the FAQ's which states that you cannot gain any extra evade distance from a reorientation. So when the LF turn 90 degrees the rear edge of the LF nearest the Kn will be in the original position of the right flank of that LF unit, so that after reorientation the distance between the Kn and LF is the same as it was before the orientation.

Regards
Martin
