Anyone got any tips for painting tiny little faces so that they don't end up looking like pink blobs?

Aside from "Use a different colour," of course.

A black/brown wash does wonders.

Using old GW paints after a black undercoat:

I paint the whole area of the face in Vermin fur (red-brown) and try and leave the eye cavities black.

Next use Dwarf Flesh (dark flesh) and paint across the brow and down the nose in the shape of a 'T' and from one cheek, down across the jaw and up the other cheek in the shape of a 'U'. Try and leave the crease where the nose joins the face dark brown, and the gap between the lips, as well as the inner ear and the area between the face and hairline.

Third use Elf Flesh (pale flesh) and pain very thin line across the brow, down the nose, on the upper edge of each cheek and around the jawbone.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Wink
