Does any beginner want to learn FOG by playing in the Chariot Doubles in August with an experienced player?

Dave Smith and I normally play together. But we are happy to assist new players by teaming up with beginners instead. We can also provide any of the main chariot armies for the weekend. The chariot period should be top fun as most armies seem reasonable in period. And doubles is a great format to learn the rules and hopefully have fun.

Also my group can supply chariot armies, certainly Egypt (2), Akkadian(2) & Assyrian(4) for thst weekend. So let me know if any other teams just need figures for the weekend.

Regards
Frosty

Whilst not technically a 'beginner' to FoG, I have never played a doubles game (let alone tournament), nor a chariot-era game... I am definitely interested in your proposal, Frosty.

Cheers Wink

Fantastic - happy to fit you in Tristan. Now we need one more to make 2 teams. Any other beginners/veterans wanting to play chariots?

I am not exactly a beginner, but I am looking for a partner and an army for the doubles.

Hi Frosty,

I'll be OK for an army by August, but was wondering if you or one of the others whose chariot armies they are was interested in a chariot game this Sunday? My Egyptians won't be painted by this month, but I wondered if anyone might want a game on Sunday with two of the armies that you've got available? Would be nice to have a couple of practice games before August. Smile

Cheers, Mark.

Hi Frosty,

As discussed yesterday, I'll be interested in borrowing an army for myself and Alex Inglis for Chariots of Fire. We haven't decided on what one yet though. Also Scott Bartel (Floppy), is interested in pairing with one of you two, but he has yet to confirm if he can play.

Ok Sounds good for game on 19th. Start at 10.00 for anyone interested so we can sort some teams and let any others join in.

I'm planning Late Hebrew for one side with either Assyrian or Egyptian as the enemy. I'll play Hebrew with anyone willing to join in. And any of Kartsen/Tristan/Alex can plan the enemy list.

Does this sound like a clever plan?

Frosty

I definitely want to. I have been away from the club for about six months but am very keen to play FOG. I have some of the books and want to start building an army.
I am also keen for an intrioductory game this month.

cheers

Chip

Hi Frosty,

Alex and have decided to go with New Kingdom Egyptian. Is an army still available? What's the best way for us to contact you to request the particular miniatures? (I'm not posting them on here... like I usually do Razz)

Paul and I are probably looking for a game on Sunday in the afternoon if anyone who's playing in the morning chariot game(s) is free in the afternoon.
